Ekaterina Tskhovrebova
Ekaterina earned a Bachelor of Arts in Modern French from Saint-Petersburg State University, Russia, and a Master of Arts in Language and Communication Studies from the University of Lausanne, with a Specialisation in Pedagogy and Cultural Mediation (HEP Vaud). The title of her Master thesis is “La variation dans l'inventaire vocalique du français contemporain : approche dialectométrique”.
She joined the University of Bern in October 2019 as an assistant for the SNF-funded project of Prof. Dr. Sandrine Zufferey “DIDI – Discovering Discourse: The acquisition of discourse connectives”. The main objective of Ekaterina’s PhD is to investigate the acquisition of discourse connectives by French-speaking teenagers through a series of controlled experiments. Her main research interests lie in experimental linguistics, language acquisition and pragmatics.
