Women’s Voices Apéro
On 23 November 2021, the Women’s Voices initiative hosted an apéro at Queerbooks bookstore in Bern’s Old Town to celebrate the online campaign womensvoices.ch commemorating the 50th anniversary of women’s suffrage in Switzerland. After the presentation of the campaign, the authors of the book “50 Years of Women’s Suffrage in Switzerland”, Isabel Rohner and Irène Schäppi, read from their work. Swiss musician Lea Lu accompanied the evening musically, including her song “We Have a Voice”, which she wrote in collaboration with Rohner’s and Schäppi’s book. Other women’s voices were featured in the screening of the short documentary film “Listen to me” by Inez Derkx, Sara Lynch, Christoph Neuenschwander and Jeannine Oberli.
